State Laws and Regulations –

Every state has different laws regarding the sale of alcohol in a business establishment, but most are generally similar in some of the more major components of the regulations. You should research what your specific state requires from any alcohol vendor and make sure that you meet those criteria. For example, if you live in Texas, you’re going to need to complete a course for TABC licensing, which is specific to Texas’ own laws about selling alcohol. Knowing what your specific state expects from a responsible and law abiding seller is important to becoming a successful business that sells alcohol responsibly.

License Classification –

There are three classes of licensing which are organized in groups that consist of a tavern license, a beer and wine license, and a restaurant license. A tavern license is for a business that’s main focus is on selling alcohol, this includes all types of liquor and are ideal for alcohol specific establishments. Beer and wine licenses are for exactly that, beer and wine sales. Finally, a restaurant license allows any kind of alcohol to be sold, but limits your earnings on alcohol sales.
